So I 1000% understand what you're saying about the sorting facilities lol. Then it was shipped all the way to California where it sat for a week. His package made it all the way to New Jersey. I recently had a man that lived in New York. On a funny note, Karma came around & kicked her in the butt this past Christmas & I had absolutely nothing to do with it. I'm very nice to people, but there are some people in this world that are going to be miserable no matter what. Since then, I'm not so quick to bend over backwards. They told me I did my part & got it in the mail. After I'd refunded her money & sent her a new set of books, plus let her keep the ones on the way (which she was never once appreciated).ebay informed me that I didn't have to do any of that & told me they would've removed the negative if she would had left one. I even brought it to her attention that she was a seller too & should understand that once I shipped it, it was out of my hands. I couldn't enjoy Christmas because she was constantly messaging me. It seemed like everytime I'd message her, she'd get more & more **bleep** off over $13.85. I refunded her money & even sent out a new set, plus gave her updates on the first set of books. They didn't arrive until two days after Christmas. Another SELLER bought a set of books from me for her mother. I went through something very similar last Christmas. (We know some that are frequently a problem, but I cannot predict when a buyer makes a purchase if it will travel through a congested pathway in the mail system).īless your heart. My partner said that sort centres across the US for USPS are a complete mess, and the issues move around, so we don't always know where there's an issue. The buyer told me that after it reaches this sort centre, he gets it soon after, so it's almost at the end of it's journey, it just needs to go out for delivery. If there's movement at that point, I can put a hold on it. I know he can't for another week, and I don't need to refund until the INR is filed. I told him if he's bugged about the package being late, go file an INR. All the jumping up and down about how the package hasn't been scanned in a few days interfered with my work day while I was trying to get work done before my work day was over, but I had to stay an extra hour because of all the wasted time replying to messages (and calming down). not seething in anger about an unreasonable buyer. My time is better spent taking pictures, doing listings, assembling stamp lots. I didn't want to have to BBL, but IMO this guy is taking way too much of my time over a $25 purchase. He's not understanding the process even though he's been on eBay a long time. I was a lot less peeved this morning when I sent the buyer a note (after ignoring him last night). Just send me a message & I'll send you the reply I'm giving people. Also, I spent a lot of time on my replies to my customers, so if you'd like I can always send it to you. You did your part, so ebay should have your back on this. At some point I go to the paid section of my eBay and go through archiving stuff that shows as delivered to clean things up a it's a carrier issue. I surmise this is because normal buyers don't contact me about their package being a few days later so I would never notice. I think what frustrates me most is that it's always the picky annoying buyer when something abnormal happens, like every single time. I don't know if that does much, but it will tell me if the parcel is moving (when there are updates for real, not just in transit ones). I went to USPS site and requested updated to my phone. (I'm not quick to block, but causing me stress while I'm at my paying job by throwing a tantrum about a package that has only been in transit for 5 days is unacceptable). This particular buyer called the USPS delays a bunch of hype that's posted everywhere and really "means nothing". I don't know, tell the buyer you're not Wal-mart and not being paid to hold their hand and wipe their nose, they just have to wait for the USPS to do it's job and the USPS is seeing delays right now due to some recent changes. If it says "in transit" anything that means it hasn't been scanned in at least 24 hours and they're posting something to try to reassure you it's actually moving.
